Can (7/9/24) from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Hazy golden yellow with light sparkle, thin head with good retention and awesome rings of lacing. Aroma is mixture of citrus, pine and bittering hops. Taste follows aroma but more assertive. Smooth texture, average carbonation and dry, yeasty finish as taste. East-meets-West hybrid but more West. Flagship IPA from a brewery as old as Castle Island seems from a bygone era.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Caramel and resin aromas. Soft with sour malt and lemon joy upfront turning to stringent pith in the lasting finish.

Poured into a snifter showing well filtered honey amber with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows sweet caramel malts with brief notes of pine in the background. The palate is moderately carbonated and medium bodied. Flavors of malt very well balanced with juicy, clean pine and light pineapple. Finish shows a moderate sharp IPA finish.
