Leicht rauchiger Antrunk, etwas herb. Mild, oxidiert, dunkel schokoladig. 8/10/11/11/11/11

Znakomity wedzony porter. Palony slod i ta wedzonka dosc mocna, specyficzny aromat dymu. Porter pierwsza klasa. Butelka z ladna etykieta. Tresciwe i ciezkie piwo. Czarna glebia w szklance. Polecam milosnikom ciemnych nietypowych piw.

En mycket fin rököl. Smak och doft av humle, malt, knäck, torkad frukt och skogsbrand. Mycket fin röksmak som avrundas med en god beska.

Thanks to Kölschtrinker for that one. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice small head. Starts not as strong as exspected, intense malty with fine earthy notes, mild smokey. Finish with hints of liquorice. Well balanced and quite drinkable for a porter. Good!

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 20.10.2009
Aroma has smoke, some tar, licorice, hints of ash and tobacco. Flavour has smoke, licorice, some tar, peat and hints of ash. Could be less thin and more rich, but not bad anyway.

50cl bottle. Pours like a coffee with a nice crema head and a red hue. The nose has crunchie bar and dark chocolate. The taste has more caramel and alarmingly but somehow still good, cigarette ash. The palate has at least medium bodied and textured and a nice elegant finish. Overall, a great beer, with smoke that isn’t too intrusive. .

Slight aroma. Very dark brown colour. Not excessively, just pleasantly satisfying smoked taste with a slight flavour of coffee. Bitter aftertaste, pleasant but not lingering. Quite OK.

Balck colour with a beige head. Roasted malt and lots of smoked malt aroma. Sweet and smoked flavour with some roasted malt and chocolate. A bit to dominant smoked flavour for me. Hoped it would be a bit more hoppy flavour. But did not notice the amarillo at all.

500ml bottle at BV. Chunky brown-black, thin oily head that laces the glass. Smoky chocolate coffee aroma. Similar taste, sweet and tasty. Some coffee bitterness. Chewy and smoky, though quite clean and drinkable too. Really well balanced, World Class beer. Rich chocolate covered bacon. This is a really great porter, big taste, but quite sessionable too. Not unlike a Schlenkerla or Funky Buddha offering. Such malt depth, sugary and sweet but never cloying or unbalanced.
