500ml bottle at 5.9%. Pours black with a thin head. Aroma is milk chocolate with a little smoked ham underneath. Taste is mostly mild smoked ham with a little chocolate.

50cl bottle courtesy of Gnoff, BB 12/2014. Brune claire, col beige moyen. Arôme malté caramel, léger fumé avec un bon bouquet grillé qui domine un peu plus que le fumé. Houblonné léger. Palais présente une bière légèrement fumée avec un profile malté oscillant entre caramel, torréfié agréable, le tout se terminant sur une brève amertume houblonnée laissant apparaître des notes de citron. Le tout reste léger avec un côté malt pâle, presque terreux et des houblons fruité et fleuri d’Amarillo. Parfaite pour moi, même si j’aurai bien aimé un peu plus de fumé.

Bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm on 23rd June 2012. Deep red (Clear ) with pale brownish yellow head that diminishes without leaving a lace. Berries and smoke in aroma. Main taste in-mouth is fruitiness, citrus and alcohols with mild smoke. Fruity, pungent and earthy aftertaste, which is also mildly smoky, Textured mouthfeel.

Opaque very dark brown beer. malty nose, touch of coffee. Smooth palate, a little dry. Lightly toasted malt with mild coffee notes. Finishes semi dry and with a dash of minerals.

[Thanks to omhper]. 50cl bottle. Black colour with a formation of a thin layer of tan head. Aroma is roasty, malty and smoky. Flavour has toasty malts notes, slightly licorice and moderate bittery in the aftertaste dominated with a good smokeyness. Carbonation is soft. Body is mediun to high.

500 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 15. Pours black with a small mocha head that quickly dissipating while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is malty with roasted malts, smoke, liquorice and dark bread. Taste is malty sweet with a distinct bitterness and a balanced smokeyness. There’s also pumpernickel, liquorice and some coffee. Finish is dry and bitter with some coffee.

Courtesy of daknole. Pours mahogany with deep red amber hues and mocha head. The aroma is big smoky goodness, some bacon, some hickory, spicy black licorice and then more smoke and bacon. The taste begins with smoky dry bacon yum followed by smoky notes, smoldering hickory, pork and some malt notes off in the background. Wow this is tasting really good. Solid smooth chewy smokiness that doesn’t reach the greasy bacony boldness of some and yet still smoky and bacony.

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ the Harlequin. Dark brown with a medium beige head, Roasty malt aroma, with soem smoke and ash. Smokey roasted flavor, with soem caramel and chocolate notes. Nice.
