0.5l bottle @ RBNAG11. Pours a clear dark brown body with a thin quickly fading tanned head. Aroma is light roasted with some subtle smoky and ashy tones and hints of licorice. Not to bad.average carbonation levels and a light oily mouthfeel. Flavors are much more smoky and ashy. Some light roasted malts and a thin sweetness towards the finish. Not horrible.

50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Black liquid with medium to big mocha head. Smells of dark fruits, dark chocolate, grapefruit, smoke and a little espresso. Nice, didn’t expect the hoppy notes. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with more coffee and smoke coming through than in the aroma. Full bodied with low carbonation (works well here though). Had this one with some hamburgers, worked really well together. Good beer also, though not really that smoky.

Dark brown, with small brown head. Smell of chocolate. Aroma of licorice, some chocolate also to be found. Very light smoky aroma. Afterwards a faint of tar and coffee to be noticed. Aroma promises more than taste can cash. Nice as a chocolate porter, but someone looking for rauchbier should pick the next one.

New Beer Distributors, NY 500ml ($6): Pours a black color with a thin white head. Smoky chocolate aroma, with a bit of coffee and stuff like that. Nice body that is not too thick, nor to thin, giving it a rather nice mouthfeel. Smoke is pretty prominent throughout, in proportions that are desirable in a smoked porter. A nice hoppy bitterness shines through. If this beer wasn’t 6 bucks for a bottle, this would be a nice session ale. All in all, I am glad I finally purchased a Swedish beer that wasn’t a crappy low alcohol...

Tillräckligt rökt för mig. Torr och samtidigt söta vanilj och kolaaromer. Inte jättetungt och måttligt beska. Ganska syrlig. Välavvägd.

15/08 0.5 l bottle, courtesy of ogivlado or Marko, thanks anyway to both for sharing! It poured dark brown body with smaller brownish head. Smoked, harder cheese, ham, light coffee notes in aroma. Flavor of very fine peat, ham, coffee, caramel, dark chocolate, dried fruits and probably something more. Each of components are complementing extremely well, making a balanced palette of flavors. Fuller body with long, peat and coffee finish, a bit alkaline ashy, yet sweetish. Very nice, tasty and memorable smoked!
