Aass Bayer is a hazel colored beer with a sweet and roasted aroma of grain and malt. The beer has a rich taste with a moderate sweetness and balanced bitterness. This beer is brewed according to the German purity law. Bayer is a Norwegian beer style comparable to a German "Dunkel".

Can 50 cl. Dark amber, clear with a small lightbrown head. Aroma; sweet sence of dark fruits, plumb. Flavor; dark fruits with some smoke sence. light body. ok

(Can). Dark ruby color, decent beige head, some lace. Light caramelly aroma with some grainy and toilet notes. Mouthfeel is unbalanced and metallic. Iron, coffee beans, grains, quick watery finish. Fizzy.

Canned (Thanks yngwie!). Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is grass, some malts and mild notes of rubber. Flavour is caramel, some rubber and mild vegetably notes.

500ml can. Clear red/brown body with a huge off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty and slightly roasted caramel. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt and balanced fine bitter finish. The best of the “bayer” style in Norway.

Bottle. Alc. 4.7% Clear amber brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (031007)

Bottle at RBESG 2007. Chestnut colour with a lasting beige head. Oh dear. This is a pretty terrible lager.
