This big mother of a Russian Imperial Stout is often considered one of our true classics. Despite the 13% ABV, you'll find Black Albert to be dangerously drinkable. With its thick, tar-like body, it's definitely a sipper, but the alcohol is very well-hidden.

Half of a 330ml bottle (2016 vintage) at Beer Happens in Moscow. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, roasted malt and coffee, warming alcohol, big bitterness. Very nice one, great name too.

Bottle of 2016. Petroleum black. One finger tall tan head. Aroma: roast & coffee, fruit esters, dried fruit. Full body. The taste is just what I expect from an impy. Esters, roast & coffee are blended into a pleasure fist. Excellent.

Bottle. Black colour, small brown head, fair lacing. Aroma is intensive dark chocolate, dried cherry, vanilla, coffee. Alcohol is present but does not disturb. Medium bitterness, not sweet. Full body, medium carbonation. Very good!

Aus der Flasche im 2018-01 getrunken. Sehr kräftiges IStout was trotz des hohen Alkoholgehaltes sehr gut balanciert daherkommt. Tolle Aromakombination.
