Can sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David C. Roast, coffee, nuts, cocoa, sweetish, caramel, bitterish note in the finish, medium-bodied. Decent.

Draught at the source: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee and stuff. Taste is chocolate and coffee. Light roast.

Draught @ the brewery. Hazy reddish brown with large foamy beige head, mocha aroma, low carbonation, bitter roasted malt taste, thin body, long bitter finish. Straightforward, no frills.

Can poured into a shaker glass, dark brown opaque. Medium bodied. Aroma of roasted malt, mildly bitter chocolate taste. Finish is lingering burnt grain.

Growler from Canal’s in Woodbridge, NJ. Dark brown color has a small creamy beige head. Roasted malt nose hints at cocoa and light roast coffee. Sweet roasted malt flavor. Notes of milk chocolate and java. Earthy malt in middle. Dark cherry notes in finish.

Sampled at the brewery, 10/24/15. Roasted malts and coffee, with some chocolate too. Murky brown with a thin tan head. Fairly dry/bitter with a mild sweetness. Nice one.
