Saturated flavorful Citra & Galaxy dry-hopped double IPA with bright notes of apricot, tropical fruit, & gummy melons, with nicely balanced malt character. Brewed with Pilsner & Munich malts and flaked oats, and fermented with our house yeast. Named for Connecticut's official state insect.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: bronzed copper color with a subtle transparency and a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which took it's time to dissipate and leave some messy lace
Aroma: citrusy, clean grassy, some floral hoppiness with a gentle tropical fruity hoppy tone underneath then a clean malt base even further underneath
Flavor: bittersweet throughout by blending the prior noted aromas nicely then a swift aftertaste of the citrusy/floral and tropical fruity tones
Texture: medium bodied with a slight sessionable aspect to it; some smoothness along my tongue; finishes citrusy and floral
Overall: nice enough DIPA I could possibly come back to.

16 oz can from Half Time. Hazy orange golden with a small frothy white head. Fruity aroma, tropical notes. Taste is more tropical fruit, and a soft, drying bitterness.

Can at Beer Culture. Hazy yellow. Nice white head, lots of spotty lace. Drinks boozy and a little sticky. Tasty, but lacks balance.

Can. Cloudy yellow, off-white head. Citrus and mango aroma. Taste follows nose with some tropical fruit. Alcohol well-hidden, but more mild overall than expected.

Can, from City Hops. Pours dull cloudy yellow with largish foamy off-white head, sweet citrus aroma, low carbonation, initially sweet citrus taste getting mildly bitter later on, smooth body, long citrus finish. Very mellow and deceptively easy to drink.
