0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before July 2026. A bit hazy, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, cocoa, clove, overripe banana and hints of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-spicy, slightly roasty and a little fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts, clove, nutmeg, marzipan, some overripe banana and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent ale, just way too effervescent.

Stubby bottle from the lcbo. Opaque Brown pour, with a big beige head. Loads of dark fruit, bready, yeasty malt, and that metallic Aroma and flavour I find in all dubbels. Medium bitterness, strong fruity esters with loads more yeast and breads in the finish.

Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel toffee, brown sugar, some liquorice and a faint anise. Flavour is brown sugar, medium to heavy sweetness and spicyness. A decent but rather run-of-the-mill Dubbel.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb xx/03/2026 - can't read first two digits). Dark amber brown with full beige head. Burnt caramel, Belgian yeast, feint floral note, mild dark dried fruits. Decent, though the floral note is slightly out of place.
