Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe's, Bedford NH. Appearance is clear, dark reddish-brown with attractive sparkle, finger-width beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong nuts, light roast, earth, caramel and candied sugar. Taste is nuts, light roast, earthy bitter, caramel. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, I enjoyed this more than anticipated. Not the boldest of flavors/aromas but it might be too sweet if it were stronger. Fair complexity. Nice.

Bottle at home probably too much tired now. Dark pour. Nose is malty and medicinal. Tastes malt, chocolate, caramel, medicinal, paper. Odd and bad flavor wise.

Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma of toaster malt. Taste is malty and light bodied, palate is weak, not much to speak of. Slight nut influence.

Casi negra opaca de tinte rojizo, espuma ocre no muy duradera que deja película. Aroma dulce, notas de chocolate, algo empalagoso. En boca es de cuerpo escaso, ligera, bebible, y sabor malteado con bastante chocolate. Dulzona.

Bottle from the Trader Joe's in Davis, CA. Pours brown with a large creamy beige head. Mildly roasty malt for aroma - but smooth, not harsh like an APA. Almost medium body. Flavor is very alt, except is kind of spicy. Lightly roasty, very lightly, malt with some mild floral hop. Not exactly dry, not exactly bitter. Alt.

Bottle. A- Hibiscus, honey, caramel. A- Brown mahogany color, clear liquid, light brown head. T- Malty, caramel, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not overly nutty and malty. Nice hint of a flowery sweet caramel. For a style that seems a bit boring to me, this drank alright.

Pours cola-like mahogany into a shaker. Sickly tan head with good retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Dark caramel aromas. Medium bodied with sweet molasses and caramel upfront turning dry in the medium length clove and bitter earth finish.
