Black with a medium sized foamy head. Tart plum, wood, malt and an astringent presence. Long finish. Medium body.

Candied plum and some sweet tobacco. Murky brown pour with ok head. Doesn't balance very well - a bit of a mess. Candy syrup probably doesn't help. Sweet and tangy finish, but not in a good way. Can.

16 ounce can. Pours like root beer. Rocky tan head. Roasted malt nose is subtle with notes of dark fruit and brown sugar. Roasted malt flavor. Notes of dark fruits and toffee. There is a sour component here, presumably from the plum purée. This tastes like a Belgian dubbel without the layers of complexity. Earthy notes and a hint of unsweetened chocolate. Decent.

Keg at Houdini's Escape, 2.14.20. Hazy dark purple, large tan head. Aroma of toffee, plum, oak, cherry. Taste is cherry, plum, soy, toffee, spice. Medium bodied well balanced.

Draught @ Malt & Mold. Murky brown with very small frothy beige head, sweet plum aroma, low carbonation, sticky sweet toasted malt and plum taste, thin body, long sticky sweet finish. Too sweet for my taste.
