Fantastic dark red brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through. Smell sweets, caramel, little chocolate. Taste largely the same. Pretty nice beer.

33cl bottle. Brown coloured ale with some lace. The nose is like a fruit and nut bar - green raisins and pistachios! The taste has grapes, honey and malt with a significant alcohol presence. The palate is rich and syrupy

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8.0%. Amber to copper colour, slightly hazy, moderate off-white head. Sweetish aroma of malts, toffee and caramel, hints of fruit and oak, quite nice. Very sweet flavour, loads of caramel, hints of oak and dark fruits, moderate hops in the finish. Worth sampling, but not for daily indulgence.

Bottle. Big, soft, caramel, chocolate and dried fruit aroma. Raisins, ripe plums, rum. Dark brown with pretty orange highlights and a thick, low head. Sweet, strong flavor, chocolate and raisins, carmel and molasses. Rich malts seasoned by alcohol, with a dry finish of something burnt. Big tart candied fruit edges in middle palate as well. Sweet. Enjoyable though a bit too much sweet ripe fruit and a bit too light for perfection.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Chestnut colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of toasted grain, wort, dark rye bread and caramel. Malty taste with dark bread, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, caramel, wort and brown sugar. Mild bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, smooth and well rounded mouthfeel, fairly sweet. Nice and well balanced.

Bottle Pours out a dark amber topped with a cream head. Aroma was very sweet lots of caramel, spice, and some pit fruit. Taste was much as the aroma but with some more sweet notes, honey, caramel, rich malts and some candy.
