Pours with a medium, creamy, off-white head covering a cludy brown body. Tons of medium sized particles suspended in the glass. Some stort of strong lacing. Aroma is weak, of caramel, some slight skunk and alcohol. Taste is caramel and then heavely metallicy. Don’t think my beer traveled too well.

Bottle from Sam’s Quick Shop in Durham. Pours light brown with a large head and decent retention, lacing. Big malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and green apple. Taste is caramel, caramel, caramel, buttered popcorn and caramel. I found this tasty, but way too sweet to finish. Sad.

Deep brown coloured body with a large tan head and very distinct ruby highlights when held up to a light - very nice! Aroma of malt, cherries (very strong), pit fruits and faint vinegar. Full-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with roasty characteristics, toffee, caramel and a bunch of nuts - all topped off by an unpleasant metallic twang. Aftertaste shows malt primarily with some pit fruits and burnt sugars brought in at the very last moment. Overall, a good scotch, not 100 % perfect around the edges and a noticeable downer in each of the categories (aside from looks) make this a decent scotch. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 04-November-2007.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown with a lasting light brown and creamy head. Caramel malty nose with a slight yeastyness. At the following sips I noticed a very strange and astringent sulphorish note to the aroma, quite unpleasant. Soft and a bit creamy mouthfeel. Very sweet malty flavour, slight metallic/blood like note. Sweet fruity too, both with fruit notes from malt and sugar but also a minor hops fruityness. Soft malty finish. Nice.

bottle - Pours dark amber with a medium sized head. It smells malty with a little dark fruit in there. The flavor is very malty. The 8% abv is mostly buried under all that sweetness. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated, it’s pretty good but I thought it over did it on the sugar a little.

Bottle, 75cl corked. Reddish copper pour, with a dense, beige head leaving nice lacings. Fruity nose, quite sweet, with dried fruits and a little roasted note. Dried fruits, candi-sugar and spices in the flavor. Sweetness and dried fruits in the finish. Full-bodied, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Not what I expected from a scoth, but I liked it. (070707)

Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany coloured , rich firm head. Woody caramelly nose. Sweet with evident notes of spun sugar, fairly soft mouthfeel and full bodied. Toffee and caramel is completely dominant until grassy, resiny bitterness sets in. A warming but well sweet beer that I find myself enjoying thoroughly.
