Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear dark Amber with small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt with hints of alcohol, medium body, very low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is rich caramel malt.

Donker roodbruin bier zonder schuim.

Appearance- murky brown, red tinges, just about no head at all. Aroma- brown bread, cherry, caramel, yeasty, almond, vanilla hints. Taste- caramel, malty, chocolate biscuit, hop bitterness, brown bread, sweet finish. Not bad.

Bottle at home. 1 year old bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark mahogany color with a big beige head. Sweet aroma of raisin, leather, brown sugar, gooseberries, chocolate, toffee, wood and Belgian yeast. The flavor is also sweet with more caramel, dried fruit, leather and brown sugar. Has a soft and silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A sweet and well-balanced ale.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsdalen. Mørkebrun med et lite rødskjær. Middels høyt skum med litt farge. Tynn lacing. Forsiktig whiskyaroma.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 28/05/15. Red amber, little tanned head. Nose is oxidized, light cough syrup, candy, sugar, herbal syrup, faint metallic note. Taste is herbal, cough syrup, sweet good kind of oxidation, candy, quite a bit of cloves, syrupy,… Low carbonation, oxidized body but still solid and syrupy. I got an older bottle but it held up quite well. Not necessarily to my preference but quite a good profile if you are into vintage & BE beers. For fans of oxidation, cloves (& other spices) and cough syrup.
