Bottle at home. Pours hazy brown with a big tan head. Aroma of caramel, biscuity malt, butterscotch, raisins light wood and light overripe dark fruits. Flavour is light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Deep amber colour, with almost no head. Smell is sweet, malty, caramel. Taste too, with moderate bitterness in the end and some alcohol. Good, but a bit too sweet for me.

Deep magogany with small off-white head. Caramel, roasted malts, grapes, plums. Something almost minty and chemical, can’t really put my finger on it. Taste is quite sweet, almost sugary so, with light bitter in the finish. Medium bodied, quite strong alcohol presence. Hmmm, has some things I don’t like but overall not bad.

Sweet dried fruit mixed with smoke, peat and a little wooden barrel taste. Pours cola crown with immediate abundant foamy head. Smooth despite the high ABV. A sipper, but very pleasant.

Pours a dark ruby (or light brown) color with an average slightly tan head. The aroma is a combination of some roasty smell, some dusty aroma and slight nuts. Also a slight alcohol smell (scotch!). The taste is not really strong nor is too weak. It starts with a slight caramel and roasted coffee taste. It’s pretty bitter and quite strong, although still quite easy to drink. Nice.

Molasses, treacle nose. Cloudy brown, medium yellow head. Sweet horehound flavor that fades to a wisp of buttery smoke. Toffee-like treacle note at midpalate. Distinctive and probably pairs well with shortbread or Philadelphia butter cake. Absolutely delicious.

Flasche (33 cl). - Dunkles Kastanienbraun.

mahogany colour, huge light brwonish head; aroma of roasted sugar/malt, some yeast, wood, and hints of dried fruits; taste is dominated by brown sugar and roasted maltyness with some wood and yeast again; for me, it’s more like a belgian strong ale than a scotch ale; anyway, really good
