Hazy golden color with a white head with good duration and nice lacework. Aroma is mainly citrusy with tropical fruits. Flavor has a decent bitterness, very fruity, citrus, grapefruit and tangerine. Creamy and smooth on palate with a high bitterness.

12 oz can poured. Pours a thick cloudy dark orange color with a heavy foam head. Very nice hoppy aroma here. Very easy drinking for an imperial. Doesn’t taste like it has near the weight it carries. Has a nutty flavor throughout. It’s like a peanut butter palate. Very interesting, and keeps me going back for more. Low bitter, nutty, hop finish. This was an awesome IIPA for me. Couldn’t stop drinking this one. Delicious. Loved it.

Thanks to tderoeck! 355 ml. can sampled @ “Hot & Sweaty RBBSG 2015”. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is light doughty, touch sweetish, exotic fruits, mango, tropical fruit,… Taste is some aspirin bitter dough, unbalanced with a tad too dominating dough, some sweetish candy, biter floral, bitter grass, dough, lightly grainy, tad exotic fruit, mango, tad too sweetish,… Body is some yeast, faintly grainy,… Not bad but a bit too unbalanced.

Nitro at the Hop Shop. Pours a near clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma is grass forward with some earthy citrus, pine and a bit of earthy grain. Flavor has a nice grass note with a bit of earthy citrus and a light must.

Can from the Bierkoning in Amsterdam. Very thick and frothy, creamy, dense, yellowish white head over a misty orange blonde beer, becoming ever more cloudy with deposit, with pale yellowish yeast bits floating around everywhere. Strong aroma of pine needles and cedar, buttermilk (diacetyl?), tangerine, mango, fried eggs, butterscotch, grapefruit, green olives, flowers, raspberry. Crisp fruity onset, exotic mango and pineapple impressions, very smooth mouthfeel with softish carbo; slight salty touch over a lightly caramelly backbone, yeasty but especially intensely hop bitter, very long and resiny, very piney but somewhat restrainedly citrussy, peppery and drying for a long time, with just a slight hint of pleasurably warming alcohol in the end.
