Bottle split at Chriso Easter tasting, 04/04/15. Dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is chocolate, light charr, toffee, spice, dark fruit notes, liquorice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, red berry notes, light spice, dark fruits, dates, prunes, earthy. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable but low end for the style, lacks depth.

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has mild fine carbonation. Mildly roasted dark malts. Modest dark malt creamy sweetness. Light dry finish, a mild roasty bitter linger. Okay.

Bottle at the House of Pancakes. It pours clear deep brown with a thick beige head. The taste is toasty brown bread, grain, caramelised stuff and cocoa. The taste is toasty, earth, wood, leather, pepper, booze, dried fruits, toffee, cocoa and a touch of acidity. Medium+ body, high carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A step down from the Linkwood version, but not bad.

Bottled@PBF IX. Deep coppery red colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, liquorice, chocolate and some slight ripe fruitiness to it. Flavour is chocolate, mild toasted notes, liquorice, ripe fruits as well as some raisins and a nice balancing bitterness kicking in too.

33 cl. bottle @ hoe, Gift from Sinterklaas because I behaved well this year. Dark brown/black with a beige head. Roasted malts, hops, chocolate, coffee and even some peppermint in the aroma, reminding me somehow of the After Eight after dinner mints . Good strong hoppy bitterness which lingers in your month leaving a long chocolate like finish. Very nice imperial stout.

Dark brown to black beer, huge creamy irregular beige head, fluffy, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: caramel, alcohol, lots of dried fruits, bit dusty, earthy, overripe banana, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sourish start, lots of coffee, dark chocolate, pretty bitter, charcoal. Aftertaste: cocoa powder, very bitter and hoppy, dry, bit sourish, red currants, little too hoppy, but damn good!
