Black with thick coffee foam head. A complex and full flavoured beer. Definite fruity notes of blackberry and Port. Also mokka and chocolate richness. A bunch of not overwhelming but pleasantly bitter hops round it off well.

Black. Foamy beige head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Fruity taste with hints of port. Roasted barley, coffee and bitterness, but also a slight hint of malt sourness, in long aftertaste.

33 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, bottled 02.10.2012
Aroma has licorice root and some roasted malty notes. Foamy palate. Flavour is ashy with some licorice root and tobacco. Quite thin and straightforward for an IS.

330ml bottle from European Local Swap, thanks MrHangover! @ PBF IX
Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of leather, ash, burnt malts, roastiness and earthy notes. Taste is leathery, salty and roasty with notes of licorice, burnt malts and earthiness. Finish is leathery and salty with notes of roastiness and burnt malts. A bit unbalanced.

Thanks bierkoning! Dark opaque black color, good creamy beige/brownish head. Coffee and vegetables in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Roasted, grassy, hints of vegetables and tartness. Nothing very interesting.

Solid imperial stout. Has all the traits, but lacks some depth and complexity. This tastes like a good basis, from which to build on with some extra hopping, strong malt, original fruits or tasty herbs.
