Bottle thanks to Douberd and the European Local Swap II. Black colour with a beige head with good lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is roasty and with a light coffee character. Flavor is malty, roasty, bittery form the beginnign to the end with coffee bean notes. The final is bittery and moderate coffee.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy off-white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is yeasty with some red berry fruit and roasted malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a malt, yeast, liqourice, alcohol palate. Not the best RIS i’ve had but a whole lot better than their BA version.

Bottle from trade with Countbeer, many thanks Kamiel
Almost black colored beer with thick beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, citrus and floral hops, hints of dark chocolate. Taste, coffee, dark malt, dark chocolate, citrus hops. Very interesting coffee bitter finish with clearly recognizable citrus hops. Very tasty, I want more of this and other beers from De Natte.

Sampled draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013. Black, tanned creamy head. Nose is quite hoppy actually, liquorish, sweet mocha, some roast,… Taste is sweet mocha, light sour touch but very harmonic and nicely accompanying, sweet spices, light roast, herbal, light grape vines, bitter herbs, cacao, sweet mocha,… m/m boyd. Easy to drink. Quite lovely, really enjoyed it.

Tap @ Nijmegen. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolat, roasted malt. Decent balance in sweet and bitter. Bottled version was a bit thin, but the creaminess from tap make up for that. Still has a dark belgian feel to it with a good touch of roast. Nice beer.

330ml bottle. Clear red glowing dark brown with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with a touch of coffee, hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, hints of coffee, a touch of roast, bitter hoppy overtones. Light body for an Impy Stout, relatively lively carbonation too - to spot somewhere inside a Dry Stout, Impy Stout and Black IPA triangle.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Countbeer. Pours a nutty brown with some impurities and a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Some manure in the nose, only subtle roast. Medium-bodied only. Some licorice notes and a rather bitter finish. Not so much of an Imperial Stout though. 060413
