From tap. Pours dark brown to black. Small off white head. Aroma is roasted malt. Bitter, roasted, dark malty. Breadish, chocolate and caramelish. Sweet and lingering chocolate into the finish.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a half finger’s worth of white foamy head. Slowly fades to leave some sly messy lace.
The aroma had some bitter coffee beans and a touch of some salt/damp vinegary - slightly like brine and a touch of roasted malt.
The flavor blended the roast and bitter to the salty/brininess. Bitter to roasty sort of aftertaste with barely any saltiness. Lots of coffee in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with more of a sipping quality about it. ABV felt appropriate. Bitterness and saltiness impound my tongue to keep this one from being any sort of session.
Overall, nice to try but more of a once and done sort of thing, at least by this brewer.

Draught @ Albion. Opaque dark brown with small foamy beige head, mocha aroma, low carbonation, bitter coffee beans taste, thin body, longish coffee finish. A bit too thin for a stout.
