50 cl bottle thanks to OleR!Brewed 05.07.11 Bottled 28.07.11, sampled on December 3, 2011Marked 6% ABVBlack color, light brown head. Smoke, coffee, green peppers, chocolate, dry, grainy scent, also lactic. Sweet, malty, roasted, lactic taste. Coffee dry aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness that is fairly dry.

Colour is deep dark brown to black. Hazy. The head is beige and big, but disapears and stays as a thin layer for a while. The Aroma is dominated by roasty coffee and chocolate. The taste reflects the aromas with sweet and dark chocolate. Ends with medium bitternes along with a coffee. A really good beer on a dark autumn night.

Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long roasty, chocolate and coffee finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle 500ml.Unclear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dark dark roasted, smoke, tar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110918]

Medium beige head. Opaque black body. Mealy milky coffee aroma with earthy notes. Also something odd in there that I can’t analyze properly; vaguely chemical in nature. Sweet powdery earthy taste with chocolate, earth and milk notes. Fullish body. Mild, fizzy mouthfeel, very rounded. Dryish mealy burnt coffee aftertaste with pine needle and earth notes. Nice, mild, drinkable. Could have more character. (0.4l draft at Grünerløkka Ølfestival. Second batch.)
