12 ounce bottle. Medium gold color. Small frothy white head. Mild grainy malt nose. Slight citrus notes. Crisp bitter flavor. Some bready notes. Lemon peel, black pepper, grass and toast. Good flavor. Dry biter finish.

12 oz bottle from Wegmans Ithaca. Clear yellow pour, thin white head. Lemon, bread, and a little grass. But I’d cleaning product. Mild sweet, light bitter. Light and easy drinking. Okay.

Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a yellow transparent color with a finger’s worth of head that quickly settled to a film over top of the beer. Not much lace. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace.
The aroma had some biscuits/breadiness up front over top of some grassy hops. Light hop spice.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a brisk touch of grassy hops. Slight bready sort of aftertaste, but even that is a stretch as there really wasn’t much of any aftertaste, honestly. Finish had some prickly carbonation hitting, odd, but alright, I guess.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed to prickle a little bit just like in the finish, but it didn’t indicate anything bad about the beer.
Overall, for the most part, everything seemed pretty good about this pilsener, though I couldn’t really tell if it was a German or a Czech one. Perhaps a confusing one and still, I’d give this another shot.

Draught@ Albion. Faintly cloudy pale yellow with small foamy white head, faint malt aroma, high carboation, lightly bitter crisp malty taste, abrupt finish. Good example of the genre.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was fairly faint with hints of citrus, chalk and perfume. The flavor was crisp, citric and perfumey. Medium length finish. Light body. Meh.

Lemon yellow and clear from a bocktown tap. Neutral aroma. Pretty sharp old style pilsner at first but it never goes over the top in astringent behavior like so many other pils. Good co2 levels but not cutting. Building pils bite near the end but remains friendly to the last drop. Better than expected.
