This Triple is a performance, powerful and rich at once, without ever falling into excess. This is a beer that spreads its complexity, without falling into heaviness. The color is golden yellow, bright. The nose has touches of honey, candied apricot . The palate is complex, silky, intense, long, fruity with touches of almonds and dried white fruit. The alcohol content is never overpowering and the end is marked by a touch of bitterness that prolongs the pleasure again and again ...

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Poursslightly hazy golden with a nice, white head. Fruity aroma of Belgian yeast, malt and traces of hops. Sweet and fruity with a lightly yeasty and slighlty bitter finish. Nice and refreshing tripel.

This beer made the trip from Schiphol to Utrecht very short. I would have liked that it lasted longer. And I did not find this beer again. Definately buy more next time. Golden and light hazy colour. Fresh light fruity and yeasty aroma. Mild sweet and light fruity flavour. Some spices.

Brown 75cl cork and caged bottle, best before 19 Oct 2009, drank late Aug 2008. Dull old gold colour and hazy even though I poured the whole bottle in one slow event into four tumblers (the only glasses available, sorry). The last glass was obviously the cloudiest and it laso had a lot more flavour as the sediment imparted its extra pieces of protein. There was no hint of any aroma what so ever, I had a smaller bottle at a bar the day before this review and although I enjoyed the beer, it also had no smell. The taste was of light toffee and fairly sweet, tha alcohol kicks in early as well. It is a bit fizzy for a strong blonde, but overal not bad at all.

0.33l bottle. This one pours a light cloudy golden-orange body with a nice big and lasting fluffy just off-white head. Fruity, yeasty and a bit watery on the aroma with hints of pear, yellow apples and perhaps some white sugar. Really lively on the carbonation and it has a fizzing oily mouthfeel. Mild yeasty and quite roundly-bitter. Some apples and pear also in the flavor. Not extreme, but quite kind. Not as watery or blend as I had first thought, but a light drinkable tripel.

33 cl bottle @ De Garre, Bruges as ”Deugniet”. Rated on 15.07.2010
Rather floral and somewhat grainy aroma. Flavour has soapy citrus and some floral notes. A very, very typical belgian beer and a bit boring in that way.

Smell is a bit better than expected. Other than that it’s a decent tripple. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Deugniet on 11 Jan 2020 at 00:29 - Score: 6. Original review text: Graan.
