This rich and sophisticated golden tripel has earned several international titles thanks to its refined taste marked by notes of grains, fruit and spice, supported by a slight bitterness.
It is a tribute to Quebec, the land encountered by 16th-century French explorers who thought they’d reached the end of the world.

Pours pale with a very very foamy head. Really interesting taste that very hard to describe. Elements of yeast taste and bread notes. Interesting beer but probably hard to enjoy in quantity.

341ml bottle @ Christmas market, Annecy. Pours a misty gold, large white head. Aroma has pleasantly sweet tripel-like esters. Taste has a moderate sweetness, light spice, familiar tripel yeast. Lower tripel carbonation presents more drinkability compared to a standard Belgian tripel. Yeah, it's decent.

From Sep 2007

This one pours from caged and corked 750ml bottle a clear light gold with almost no head of foam.

The smell has some sweet malt, lots of spices, some fruitiness, some yeast and a nose of alcohol.

The taste is of yeast, dark fruit, spice(coriander), apricot, and some citrus. I'm drinking this at room temp so I'm getting a real blast of flavours and I have to say, it's a bit overwhelming.

After a few more sips and after my palate gets more used to what it is experiencing, I'm beginning to really enjoy what is going on here.I'm finding it to be a smooth sipper; it has a medium mouthfeel to it and the carbo is also medium and it finishes on the vinous side. Very tasty and the 9% abv adds a nice bit of warming after the swallow. I'd buy this one again.

Bottle, 330 ml at 515 Kitchen and Cocktails, Santa Cruz. Pours dark golden with small white head. Some fruit, esters, yeasty, sweet, bit spicy, low carbonation. Bit warming, even some alcohol coming through. Some bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. OK, but expected more, had way better Tripels.

Intensely sweet Tripel, bright and boozy with an everlasting head and a nose worthy of the gods. But I’m not digging the taste this time around; maybe this is the freshest bottle of La Fin du Monde I’ve ever drank, but it seems exceptionally harsh, the alcohol very present and the candi sugars going overboard on my palate. Starts with a even-keeled wheaty Tripel flourish, grassy and yeasty with banana-clove sweetness underlined by doughy bread, yet the sugars keep piling on, adding up, overwhelming the beer until it reaches a cloy, unpleasant finish. The ABV smacks you with every dollop of its 9% ABV, offsetting the otherwise nice sparkly Belgian texture. Needs age. I guess. Not my favorite Tripel, regardless.

From old tasting notes. Cloudy pale gold color. Fine bubbles lead to a rich creamy white head. Rich fruity malt nose is reminiscent of honey and wheat. Tart bittersweet malt flavor has an obvious alcohol prescence. Very Begian like, reminiscent of Duvel, only sweeter.
