Tap at the brewery in Brooklyn. A jet black coloured pour with a halo of mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet. Melow roast, apple cake, waxy, vanilla, rum and raisin. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, oily, raw oak, vanilla, cakey malts, pinch of salt. Palate is medium, sweet, oily, moderate carbonation. Ok. Little boozy.

Tap at The Blind Tiger. Opaque black, creamy brownish head. Lots of whiskey and vanilla in the nose. Full-bodied. Smooth. Lots of vanilla, wood, bourbon, toasted malts. Sweetish, not alcoholic. Nice barrel-aged impy, well-brewed, robust.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Opaque dark brown with large spongy tan head, whisky aroma, low carbonation, strong whisky taste, thick body, long mocha finish with underlying alcohol. The whisky taste is very strong.
