Bottle from Pazzeria, Milan; vintage 2009, 4 years old; bb 30-11-2017
The bottle is a slow gusher; it pours a dark and probably unclear brown color with frothy fizzy head, short retention. The aroma is vinous, with wood, a bit fruity, with nice notes of Aceto Balsamico. Luckily it’s not too dry not too sour; malt and caramel flavor that leave some room for a light uninvited liquorice note; correct bitterness; the flavor too is a bit vinous, woody, with a lightly astringent final.
A good beer with no doubt, but not the excellence; it lacks of depth.

Bottle thanks to Fergus at this Watford Tasting. It pours darkest brown with a small yellow-white head. The nose is vinous, red grape, toast, light roast, earth, mild acidity, dark fruits and pleasant tartness. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, jam, vinous, cherry cola, dark fruit, sherbet, wood, some alcohol and tart green apple. Medium body and fine carbonation. Very nice tart-sweet balanced. Rather tasty.

Nose is very complex. Green apple, sour, a little cheese, undercut with oak, a hint of coffee, caramel and vanilla tones from the bourbon. Taste is initially sour with a little cherry and cola quickly leading to green apples, vinious, a little red wine, red currents, oak, a little leather, with a dry woody finish with lashings of red current. Mouthfeel is acceptable. The use of the bourbon barrel adds an exciting dimension and depth, an excellent beer.

Tap @SBWF2013
Deep amber color, good creamy beige head. Woody, fruity, "smokey" aroma. Full-bodied. Alcoholic, fruity, tart, vinegardish flavor. Very interesting, Rodenbachish. Tnx Urbain.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma consists of tart cherries with loads of oak notes and some vinous notes also noticeable. Taste is also a well-balanced mxi of tart cherries with some notes of oak and a vinous finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable Flanders red beer with an extra vinous feel. I am not sure I could taste the Wild Turkey barrel though.

Bottle purchased at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, June 2013 consumed at Eardisley, Hereford Friday 8th November 2013 Pours a dirty, murky brown head is foamy off-white and a little scummy. I can certsinly get the Bourgogne BA but not the Wild Turkey. This is fruity, zappy and tart, there is a busy carbonation across the tongue. I didn’t know the style before I opened this, I just thought it would be appropriate at this time of year to have this beer, however I like it. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.6
