33cl bottle. Bottled aug.2012. 11.9% says label. Poured black with no head. Aroma has licorice, roasted malt, port wine notes, wood and alcohol. Flavor is similar, lots of wood, peat, ash coming through as it gets warmer. Incredibly light body at first with vanilla smoothness, but as you swallow the alcohol presence is quite noticeable. Heavy stuff, tough.

On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a creamy tan head. Rich dark malts in the nose, chocolate cake, scorched earth and wood. Big sweet flavor with sturdy dark malts, mellow peat, dark sugars, moderate roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Good, warming finish with strong roasted malts, some earthy bitterness, dark sugars, nice peat notes, torched wood. Sweet but not cloying. Lingering peat. Nice balance for such a big impy stout. I loved this.

A black beer, basicly without head, brown bubbles. Aroma is strong, lots of liquirice and salt liquirice, also hint of smoke, whiskey, vanilla and dark fruits. Taste is milder than aroma, but powerfull anyway, salt liquirice, roastiness, some whiskey and vanilla, quite lot of sweetness, but not too much. Full bodied, slightly sticky, no carbonation. Tastefull but not a top, quite complex, but still something is missing.

330ml bottle from Beernavigator
Bottled 28th August 2012 - Pours pitch black with a tiny bubbly white head. Aroma of roasty malts, sweet syrupy notes, whisky, vanilla, oak, hints of smoke and ash. Strong, smooth and malty taste with notes of roastiness, whisky, vanilla, oak, wood, hints of smoke. Warming, sweet and sticky finish with notes of roastiness, syrup, vanilla, whisky and alcohol. A bit too heavy on the whisky notes, feels a bit unbalanced. Still quite tasty, though.

(Bottle, Monkβs CafΓ© Wallingatan, Stockholm, 18 Dec 2012) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of oak wood, vanilla, chocolate, strong black coffee and vinous aromas of whisky. Malty, roasted taste with strong black coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice, oak wood, vanilla and vinous hints of whisky in a fairly sweet finish with a generous roasty bitterness. Full body with thick, oily mouthfeel. Quite flat with almost no carbonation. Fairly sweet. Quite powerful but fairly well balanced and very tasty. Lovely beer!
