Granted, it was damn ’ difficult, but our customers asked for such a beer, we are actually quite proud of the fact that we succeeded. What we have succeeded with is to produce a beer that is not already from the first sip an attack on your tastebuds with a screeching hop bitterness and oceans of alcohol. Bryggen’s Blonde is probably best described as a beer with a gentle appearance that appeals to the thoughtful segment, rather than the tanned, hardened beer enthusiasts. In the glass it appears a warm golden beer both creamy and delicious. The scent is rich in floral tones and a slight hint of yeast reveals the Belgian inspiration.
With Bryggens Blond we would like to thank those of our customers who reminded us that a good beer does not always have to be a wild and violent experience.

Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Hazy golden, small head. Terpentine aroma. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Some grainy malt and vanilla, notes of mustard. Not much bitterness. A bit too hard in the mouth and with a strange aroma.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Light perfumed hoppy aroma, vague though. Flavour is mild caramel malt. shows a light hoppy fruity note. Ends smooth and light fruity with a slowly building bitterness. I found the old one quite a lot better. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bryggens Blond (2007) on 07 Jan 2008 at 14:51 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Aroma of yeast and orange peel. Flavour starts citric with a light acidic and spice touch into a solid yeast flavour. A mild off-note, slight chemical, can also be sensed. Not as smooth as the Belgian rolemodels, but still nice and enjoyable. Solid yeast spiced finish.
