Drought. Hazy, rich orange-yellow, with whitish foamy head, slight hops aroma, low carbonation, sweetish hoppy taste, long finish. Good but not special.

Tap at the brew pub, Chelsea Pier - 01/03/12. Listed at the brewpub as 9%ABV and titled ’Hoppy Holidays’. Mid brown verging on dirty orange in colour with a small to medium white head. Hoppy citrus nose with sweet malt and caramel background notes. Again taste is citrus but not mega hoppy, get a little biscuit and caramel and grassy notes. Medium bodied and easy drinking for it’s strength.

Draught at Ginger Man, 36th NYC
Amber color; creamy head; nice lace. Very nice aroma of sweet caramel, hop, pine needles and some fruits (pink grapefruit). Full mouthfeel, good malt, a lot of residual sugars without being cloying, powerful and aromatic hopping, both fruity and resiny. Excellent.

Cask at Blue Point cask fest - apa you say? nay! - amber color out of the hand pump, with a rather large head that spilled over the sides of the glass, leaving a sticky residue, warning me to expect loads of sweetness - it was there alright, but the copious amounts of herbal hops kept it from becoming cloying - some fruitiness through the middle, mostly apricot and citrus - herbal tea qualities on the back end - dry, earthy hops throughout - this brewery certainly isn’t great, but their beers are severely under-rated.
