Brewed for a local drinks store in Bassevelde, the inhabitants of which are referred to as "ezels". Almost certainly an alias of Bornem Tripel.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweetish malt, yeast, sweet ripe fruits, mild citrus, spicy notes with coriander, sugary, bit boozy, touch of marzipan. Flavour is sugary sweet and light bitter with a little alcohol. Body is medium. A bit too boozy and sweet to be a good Tripel in my book.

Bottle found in Denekamp, of all places! Pale blonde. Grassy, citric aroma. Sugary sweet, rather alcoholic flavor. Just a touch of yeast coming up in the aftertaste. Just a bit flowery. Too alcoholic to be really good.

Bottle from De former Bierloods, Adegem. Cloudy orange colour, white foam. Citrussy nose with tart hints. Some caramel. Watery and thin. Alcholic. Not very well balanced.

13/09/2015 @home 33cl bottle from shop @ entrance of Achelse Kluis Golden with white head. Spicy, some yeast, fruity. Typical Tripel. My daughter, who is fond of donkeys, saw the label, and asked me to buy it, otherwise I wouldn’t have...

Tripel with snow white, dense, thick head and light golden blonde colour, cloudy with deposit. Pale malt sweetishness, dough, soft floral hops, dried orange peel, apple, straw, coriander, pepper, cheese and gin-like alcohol as well as some plastic-like solvents. Malty taste, full, dryish, grainy, with restrained fruitiness and mild floral hop bitterness in the finish along with noticeable alcohol. Very average, typical Van Steenberge tripel; I am almost certain this is an alias of Bornem Tripel, too.

Cliché Belgian tripel. Nothing interesting going on here, it’s really boring.

Clear blond with giant, light soapy head. Flavour is quite sweet and sugary but also has some citrusy notes. Quite intense carbonation.
