Draught. Orangey, not much hops or color, poured amberish. OK but not that sweet.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is slightly hazy orange with fair sparkle, 1/2-finger width foamy white head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is fruity with caramel malts. Taste is sweet fruity, malty mix--almost like candied sugar. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and sweet finish as taste. Overall, rather one dimensional. OK.

Keg at Mellow Mushroom Charlottesville, 10/6/14. Pours a golden amber with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of nuts, honey, pale malt, cotton candy. The taste is honey, pale malt, floral hops. Medium bodied.

Cityfresh Associated Supermarket, Bushwick growler ($8): Pours yellow with a white head. Aroma is hops and grains. Taste is a little bitter, but the flavor and the hop profile were a bit flat. This beer is a little boring, but I guess that blonde ales are often a bit flat and boring.

Drought. Clear yellow with foamy off-white head, slight hops aroma, sweetish taste with little hops flavor, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Good with spicy food but not much else.

on tap-pours a rich white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is sweet light malt, spice hops. Taste is sweet light malt, spice/perfumy hops.

Plastic pint pour at the brewpub. Color is orange/gold and absolutely clear. Aroma is a meaty sweetness (not smoke), some sugary flowers with some sweet cereal. Taste is a thick lemon-like biscuit malt and something I like to call "a german sweetness that you know shouldn’t be there." Finishes malty lemon and thick on the palate yet a light-medium drinkable body. A very strange beer, billed as an Amsterdam-inspired brew, yet it definitely taste like a sweet German beer. So I give it points for originality. Definitely would like to drink again.

Odd beer - initial flavors are of hops, but those quickly fade and make way for light, fruity, belgian-like flavors - apples, pears and citrus are all evident - drinkable, but they make much better.
