Ideal for the Lager drinker who prefers amber beers, the "Scratch" is a smooth, malt-accentuated lager. Brewed in the "Steam-Style" tradition, scratch is a so-called hybrid beer that is fermented at medium temperatures to develop some ale and lager characteristics.

Clear amber colored beer. Smell malts and a little musty. Taste and body are decent.

Okay beer. Not their best brew imo. Itβs a bit dull and boring. Would not turn it down if someone offered one to me though.

355ml bottle. Pours amber with a large frothy head. Aroma is apple, bready malt and paint. Taste has some bread to start. Apple malt on the finish. A bit boring.

355ml. It pours amber as the name suggests - not much head after a minute or two. The nose has a little bit of gentle malt. The taste is more gentle malt but it is fairly persistent. The palate has decent richness but also has a long and refreshing finish. Good barbecue beer!

Amber beer, small white head. Sweet aroma, dominant caramel notes, some slight malts. Flavour caramel, malts. Bitter tones but mostly rather lingering sweets.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear copper with a thin tan head. The aroma is bread, cheese, and a little roast malts and spiciness. The flavor is mildly bitter with a wheat sweetness. The palate is medium and sticky. Overall, not a bad beer.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Brown lager. Crisp and refreshing. Good malt depth and a long malty dry finish. Good.

Draught in Renton, VA. A good session beer, with a bright amber appearance; malty aroma and flavour; smooth body and a gently bitter finish.
