This unique coffee beer of 7.7° is enriched with JAVA coffee of the Finca La Pila from Guatemala. The Single Estate coffee beans are shade-grown at a height between 1200 and 1700 metres which gives the coffee a round and full body, with a very fruity (red fruit) taste, medium acidity and a very intense flavor. Enjoy this exclusive coffee beer! EBC 90.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 27.11.16, large sample. Bit hazy amber to copper color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma is quite spicy, clove, licorice, bit toffee, caramel, bit stale malt. Just a tiny hint of coffee. Just your typical spicy belgian dark ale. Sweet and spicy yeast in taste. Medium carbonation, thin to medium body. Boring like all Broeder Jacob beers. --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Espresso on 11 Dec 2012 at 21:12 - Score: 6

Coffee stout with beige, dense, creamy head, very stable and a bit cappuccino-like, over a very dark wine red beer, almost black. Interesting aroma of candied dates, meat broth, coffee powder, caramel, liquorice and red cabbage. Candied onset, raisins, candi syrup, soft carbonation, smooth, thick and full mouthfeel, deep caramelly and chocolatey maltiness, yeasty, leafy and somewhat citrussy hops in the finish as well as brandy-like alcohol and a touch of roasted coffee bitter, but more subtle than I had expected.

Roasty nose. Nearly opaque dark ruby brown colour, one finger foamy dark beige head, sizzles away within moments to a thin layer, fair lacing. Aroma coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, hint of liquorice. Medium sweetbitter taste, coffee. Full-bodied, oily texture, mild mouthfeel, soft carbonation, lingering sweetbitter and roasted coffee finish, spicy touch. Very well-balanced beer, very nice.
