From the brewery's website:
Kapittel Pater is een roodbruine “single” met een smalle romige schuimkraag. Dit bier is, net als de andere Kapittels, van hoge gisting en wordt afgewerkt door de nagisting op de fles. Door het gebruik van donkere moutsoorten wordt een pallet van chocolade en karamel gecreëerd, maar ook een citrustoets is merkbaar.

bottle from høkeren. clear brown, smooth offwhite head. mild dark fruity and malty aroma, slightly spicy, first and foremost mild. flavor is very nice - balanced and complex, fruits, roasted malts, spices, faint chocolate, yeast. quite easy-drinking, notes of wheat too. A mild tasty dubbel with high drinkabillity. Probably good with food too.

Bottle @ home. Pretty decent abbey dubbel, but apart from the appearance (which is nice dark brown) nothing really special.

Pours hazy brown with a small lasting head.Nose shows caramel and golden syrup with very little else.Flavours are even sweeter, with truckloads of candi sugar. Apart from that there isn’t much else. Finishes with a sharp but unsupported bitterness - the sweetness has already faded by then!Too watery by far.Really, this is ridiculously sweet. Relies too much on candi sugar.

Draught@The Pullman Bar, Helsinki. Poured dark brown color with a frothy white head, nice lasting lacing. Aroma is caramel malty, sweet. Flavor is metal, sweet mild malty. thin, but not watery and not too sweet. Hoppy notes. If not for the metal taste I would have liked this one better. Should do a rerate later.

Brown with a good coat of beige head. Very mild aroma of dough, stewed fruits. Taste has caramel sweetness with some slightly sour funk and nice finishing bitterness that’s a bit herbal. A bit woody at the end as well. Nicely balanced - the sweetness is well cleaned up in this fairly fresh bottle.
