Strong body and powerful flavour ale but that offers a ‘velvet sip’. The vanilla flavour, from Madagascar beans, stands out above roasted, cocoa and coffee notes. Plato 22.4°.

Thank you! Gotten from Fonefan (& united DE ticking crew I pressume). 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Dark brown. Nose is sweet cacao, cheap chocolate pudding, artificial vanilla, soy chocolate pudding. Taste is cheap soy chocolate pudding artificial, sweet, cheap cacao, light bitterness, very artificial & additive tasting but not bad per se, it does make it a bit odd. Body is a bit akin to soy chocolate pudding.

A deep dark brown stout with a thin lacing dark brown head. In aroma, sweet nutty chocolate malt with light grassy hops, herbaceous character, light vanilla extract, very nice. In mouth, loads of chocolate malt, vanilla extract, coffee grind, lingering bitterness, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at St Bock.

Bottle. Beautiful black pour. Aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee and licorice. Flavor has bitter coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla, licorice and roasted malt. Good stuff, but could use more vanilla.

It takes a pour from a great height to add the thinnest of heads to this very oily beer. The aroma and flavour are full of vanilla and dark caramel. Has just a hint of warming alcohol in the finish. The smooth, oily texture gives the feeling of melted ice cream. A very rich and indulgent dessert beer.
