Strong body and powerful flavour ale but that offers a ‘velvet sip’. The vanilla flavour, from Madagascar beans, stands out above roasted, cocoa and coffee notes. Plato 22.4°.

Bouteille: Literally black, very small off-white foamy layer, strong vanilla aromas in the toasty, caramelly and vinous nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, pretty smooth; drier and a bit boozy caramelly and vinous finish with an increasing bitterness and some warming alcohol in the aftertaste. The vanilla aromas are kind of artificial, the beer is pretty unharmonic...

(bottle, 33cl) Black colour without any head. Distinctive aroma of vanilla with spicy notes, chocolate (cake) and mildly roasted accents. Moderately sweet and slightly roasted bitter flavour, full bodied with an absolutely tame carbonation. Chocolate- and vanilla-laden taste with mildly roasted and spicy notes, lingering into the slightly bozzey finish. Nice but lacks carbonation. 29.XII.17

0,33l bottle from Alko. Very dark brown, almost black beer with small but stable beige head. Soft aroma has licorice, vanilla, roasted and coffee. Taste is also soft with licorice, roast, coffee and some vanilla. Also some wood and oak exists. Quite full body, soft and enjoyable. Low carbonation. Quality beer from Spain!

Bottle, 2016 batch 789. Color: Almost black, thin light brown head. Taste: Dark roasted malt, espresso, earthy, hints of dark chocolate. Hoppy espresso finish, warming and bit dry mouthfeel. Full body, soft carbonation. Smooth. Very nice imperial stout.
