Bottle from Groningen at home. Pours black with bubbly light tan head. Sweet roasted and smoked chocolate malts, molasses, light ash and vanilla. Big sweet and moderate roasty bitterness. Over medium body, soft carbonation.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Wildervanker Bouwerij Pitch black with a tiny tan head. Malty aroma with a hint of smoke and some hops. And of course the usual coffee and chocolate notes. Nice creamy taste and mouthfeel. A very pleasant solid stout.

Bottle shared with Deanso / road soda. Near black with a big beige head. Aroma of roast, light smoke, caramel and malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Opaque black color, medium sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, brown malts, some iron, a hint of leather. Taste malts, light roast, iron and indeed smoke. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm too smokey for me.

6e Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival, Hoogeveen. 20-12-2015 geschonken van fles, toch leuk hoe je een half vol flesje weer met een flesopener probeert te openen terwijl je de dop er bijna af kan blazen... schenkt zwart met beperkte bruine kraag. aroma van chocolade, koffie, en nu ruik ik rook, er staat namelijk een heks naast mij een peuk op te steken, verdomme... kan die toverkol niet op haar bezem stappen en wegvliegen....eeniewej... smaken van chocolade, rookmout, koffie, geroosterde mout, gebrande mout, ham, matig zoet, iets vanille, branderige afdronk, licht zuurtje, matige body, lage co2. ok-ish
