Can at home in the garden, 3rd August 2024. Pours a copper colour, off clear, aromas of heavy resin, citrus, caramel. Taste is heavy resinous pine and candy, caramel, bitter, powerful, so well balanced, citrus, pith, heavy bitter finish and linger, outstanding beer

CD 05/14/24: . Pours a clear deep golden body and a small dense white head with good retention. Aroma's of malt and spicy hops, well balanced. Retronasal the hops come out more with malt a bit subdues. Flavour is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, with a hint of fruity/hoppy sourness. Medium bodied. Long finish, increasingly dry, moderate bitter.

Pours a lightly hazy, golden-orange, with rather smallish head. Aroma is citrus, pine, some bread/biscuit. Flavors follow, with some caramel sweetness. Mouthfeel is fairly crisp. Pretty strong hop bitterness in the finish.

Can from explosivedog: pours copper with white head. Aroma is grapefruit, some dankness and hints of pine. Taste is large, with the heft felt. Not too sweet. Clean hoppiness. Moderate bitterness.

Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Caramel, pine and resin aromas. Thick with sweet strawberry, papaya and guava upfront turning to soft resin, apricot and orange smarties in the hot, lasting finish.

Can down SMOD. Thanks to the generous person who brought this along. Hazed murk. Leggy. Big rich sweet fruity hops. Similar on the malt. Slick and fruity. Drinks preposterously easy. Hit of bitterness to finish. Top notch boost.

Canned 5/23/23, drunk 6/23/23. Clear canteloupe/melon/bronze. Large, beige head, well-retained. Spicy, lightly citric, lightly floral hops show about the best of what non-Citra American hops have to offer. It's not oniony, resinous, overly piney, yet shows a playful, light, bright pine and floral character with biscuit, light bread and pepper. Clear, clean, not boozey. Good maltiness lingering on the finish. Whew, that's spicy, resinous, but also plentiful chewy, caramel-tinged white bread. Clean, but with more bread and strong, chewy, malty textures on the finish with pine, black pepper and sourdough. For an OG WC, somewhat brutish ipa, this is pretty good. Sticky malt with good sweetness, but also good attenuation helps balance all this pine and citrus peel. But at the end of the day, it's still ALOT of resin, pine, spice, citrus....From what I understand, this one needs to be drunk like no later than 10 days old, so I'll try to rerate it again next year fresh on draught.
