A traditional & authentic old style Belgium beer, pure malt and hops, without spices or additives. Black colored, creamy beer’s foam. Well balanced, coffee touch with the sweetness of Moka. Subtle touch of bitter chocolate at the end, with a dry and nice-tasting final note.

Bottle at HBF. Dark brown color, small beige head. Harsh, tartish, caramel, alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, caramelly, maybe some diacetyl. Nasty sweetie brew.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig met iets van drop, laurier, bessen en zoete stroop. Erg goed maar smaak wijkt erg af van een standaard dubbel.

Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, roasted malts, brown sugar, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste had roasted malts and bitterness. A mediocre dubbel.
