Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Decent Schwarz, could have used more pronounced roast.

Flesje gedronken bij bierreclamemuseum in Breda. Zwart bier met mooie stevige beige schuimkraag. Aroma is moutig en licht karamel-achtig. Smaak is licht bitter en rokerig. Rokerige smaak blijft even hangen.

Tap @ De Beyerd. Dark brown to black color with a dark red hue coming through when held into the light, medium to full sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, lightly caramel, a slight underlying mix of liquorice with a slight earthyness and slight hint of brown candy sugar. Taste malts, caramalts, dark malts, brown candy sugar, light to moderately bitter. Quite pleasant.

Draft at the Beyerd beer festival. Near black with a big light tan head. Aroma of dark malts, caramel, toffee and light fruity notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle, gift from a friend, BB 02-2015, large sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, slight spicy, soft roast, caramel, earthy hops. Quite sweet in taste, soft roast, slight bitterness. Ok-ish.
