Pours dark brown, no real head. Smell is bit sweet, mild boozy, some grains. Taste is full, sharp, grainy. Strong, mild boozy. Rich earhty /leaves aroma. Nice

Clear deep amber brown colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, licorice, brown sugar. Taste light heavy sweet and light bitter, roasty, malty, caramel, sugary, light coffee, bit of oak. Sugary sweetbitter aftertaste, chocolate and spicy notes, warming alcohol; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Resembles a quadruple but not quite so, tasty but misses that special touch.

Brown color, white head wit short duration. Aroma has notes of burnt sugar, toasted malts. Flavor is slightly bittery, high presence of alcohol, some spicy. Slightly sweet at the final, alcoholic mouthfeel.

Bottled, from More than Beer. Brown coloured, with an off white head. Nose is caramel and candy. Flavour is caramel malts, yeasty, sugary and sweet. Initially a bit smoked. Not really my kind of beer.

Botella 33 cl de vivalabirra tomada en el momento en Belmonte 08..07..2016. (r11). Lote 160204 hasta 06..2026. Color oscuro casi negro con poca espuma beige oscura. Aromas y sabores maltosos tostados con toques de caramelos tostados y maderas con bastante sensación licorosa. Bastante buena.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Hazy reddish to almost amber purple color, small off-white head. Smell and taste resemble a nice quadrupel: malts, sweetness, caramel, slightly bitter. Medium body and carbonation.

Deep brown . Aroma and flavour are full of caramel and malts. Served cool and with moderate carbonation it’s surprisingly drinkable.

Draft at Kaapse fest. Brown color. Aroma of sweet malt, raisin, cinnamon and ripe fruit. Nice taste of riasin, ripe fruit, cinnamon spices, nuts, prunes and sweet caramelised malt. Good beer.
