Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn, pine, maple syrup, toasted bread, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, maple syrup, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn, pine, maple syrup, toasted bread, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, maple syrup, toasted bread, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, maple syrup, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light lingering resins/rinds. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an incredible IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, maple syrup, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; not aggressive and very soft feel. Fantastic Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade profile. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balance of maple syrup and bready malts. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing east coast style example.

Cask at The Old Toad Dogfish Head Fest 5. Deep copper with a fine, low, head. Nose of citrus (lemon and orange), gumball, orange zest, light caramel, phenols. Lovely toasty malt flavor, great balance, citrus and grass. Perfect bitterness. Great.
