An easy drinking and refreshing IPA. Fresh dry hop, herbal character is provided by the mix of Challenger and First Gold hops. The use of crystal malt in the grist gives a satisfying toffee/caramel note and the addition of a little black malt adds just enough astringency to give a clean, dry finish.

Cast at the Shakespeare’s Head, JDW, London. Pours perfectly clear amber-gold with a super tight, lasting cream head. Weak bready malts in the nose, with faint citrus notes. Light sweet flavor with some toasty, doughy bread, light citrus, lime. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bland finish, creamy cheap-tasting malts, light toast, citrus, dough. Not super offensive, but it’s pretty tastes pretty industrial; it just lacks character.

Gravity at Wokefield Park, 14th June 2012. Flat dull, warm and certainly not an IPA. Slightly viegar in taste and aroma. Not good

Tried drought at Stage Door, near Victoria station, London. Amber color, small foamy whitish head, doughy aroma, slightly hops taste, low carbonation, medium finish. Typical IPA.

On handpump. Thin creamy white head. Amber pour. They should really remove the name ipa. It’s a bitter. Thornbridge ipa is tge real deal.

Cask, somewhere in London when on holiday. Clear dark copper color, small lacing on top. Don’t smell much, just a slight bitterness. Taste is pretty poor, weak, lightly bitter, nothing more. Not even a nice bitterness. No carbo, no body.

Cask. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Orange colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Grainy notes. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate. Very boring cask-beer.

Cask at the White Horse, somewhere in Kent. Copper color, thin head. Aromma of caramel malts and earthy hops. Light flavor, some caramel, some grassy hops, not muchgoing on really, though not bad either. Light and thin.
