Draught from swift Hibernian. Dark pour kind of flat and with malts. OK but needs more.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown. Light chocolate, grain, little roast, little creaminess. Medium body. Well balanced. Not a bad mild.

At the brewery: Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma is malty and quite nutty. Very light body. Taste is similarly nutty. Low amount of roast and bitterness. Nutty aftertaste. Good mild ale.

Draught @ Albion. Inky black with small foamy tan head, roasted malt aroma, low carbonation, thin body, burst of roasted malt taste that disappears fast, abrupt finish with a little burnt aftertaste. An easy drink to consume.

Location: Growler from Syosset Beverage, 10/6/14
Aroma: The nose is roasty and fairly dry, black coffee, and some noticeable ash
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a thin light brown head and light lacing
Flavor: The flavor is black coffee dominant, dry and malty flavor, and an ashy finish
Palate: The body is fairly light, but not watery, easy drinking, smooth, with a short, dry finish
Overall Impression: Ticking my way through the list of NY state breweries, this is #89, but I'm pretty sure this is my first Staten Island beer. Here's to Richmond county! As for the beer, this is pretty tasty stuff. The coffee/ashy flavors are dominant, and while it isn't watery, it does get a little thin, but for a 4.5% mild ale it seems right on to me.

Tap at Manchester pub was stoked to get some Staten Island brew up in me. Pours deep mahogany with faint nose of roasted malt. Tastes of soft malt, light toffee, flag cola, and ash. Nice mild palate. Decent representation of style
