A crisp, refreshing version of a traditional Belgian beer. Fruity, slightly spicy flavors from the Belgian yeast are balanced by toffee and caramel notes from our blend of malts. The hops provide a citrus character that rounds out this enjoyable brew.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian style malt with some zesty and dry hops notes. Taste is also dominated by lightly sweet Belgian-style malt with some dry and zesty hops notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Easy drinking Belgian ale with a little hops twist.

Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, banana and some fruits. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a yeasty finish with hints of banana. Taste is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 12oz. More or less clear in the glass, dark golden in color and with a dense, two-finger thick off-white head. The aroma has a distinct banana ester, with toffee and some spiced hints making me think of Bavaria more than Belgium. Wheat, toffee, citrus notes and spices keeps the banana sweet flavor company. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated. Some bitterness in the very end. Well, didn’t ring any of my bells. 130819

Single bottle from HyVee, Davenport, IA. Pours a good looking beer color, lots of bubbles feeding a parfait-layer head. My cellar is hovering around 75Β°, so I quick-chilled this in the chest freezer. Certainly has a Belgian yeast note to the nose, and some aromatic malt with a hint of Vienna roast. Taste is simply malty, very pleasant chilled. Some fruitiness befitting an ale. A basic all-around Belgian ale. No more, no less.

This brew pours a clear pale amber-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly. Sticky spots of lacing. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, citrus and slight pepper. The finish is fruity with a yeast and caramel malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle. Pours clear orange with a small fizzy white head that dissappears quickly with some lacing. Aroma is yeast, peppery, hay, citrus, caramel. Flavor is light sweet, light zesty bitter, particularly on the finish. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium body. Not a bad effort for what it is.

Bottle: Bright golden color with a slim white head. I like the lively Belgian yeast in the nose, comes along with a little bread, toffee, and hints of bubblegum. The yeast is the forefront of the flavor, not much else coming through. Maybe come caramel and bread if I stretch my imagination... still, this is refreshing and nice on a warm 4th of July day.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Rodman's, 4/20/13

Aroma: It has a nose of Belgian yeast, pepper, coriander, clove, and some floral notes too
Appearance: A clear golden colored pour, with a white head, and some medium-to-heavy lace
Flavor: On target from the nose, decently clean, with Belgiany spice and malt flavors mostly
Palate: The body of this one is light-medium, and it has a decent, but unspectacular mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I thought this was solid, drinkable beer, but certainly not too much beyond that. Worth trying if you happen to see it (for example - if someone picks up this mix pack for a party), but not something worth seeking out.

This review was imported from my RateBeer ratings.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear and golden with a very frothy, white head. Aromas of hay, yeast, citrus, and clove. Taste is slightly bitter. Light flavors of citrus, cloves, and caramel. Texture is thin and a little watery. Average carbonation with an abrupt finish.

Flavor-wise, this is an okay beer, but the texture and body are poor in my opinion.
