A crisp, refreshing version of a traditional Belgian beer. Fruity, slightly spicy flavors from the Belgian yeast are balanced by toffee and caramel notes from our blend of malts. The hops provide a citrus character that rounds out this enjoyable brew.

Bottle pour to shaker. Crisp, yeasty banana. I am never too disappointed with a Sam Adams, but sometimes I am not impressed. This is better than Blue Moon, but that is not saying much.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Yeast and spice aroma with light fruitiness. Spice and light grain flavor. Medium bodied. Spice and yeast linger with grain.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is yeast and spice. Medium mouthfeel with dry yeast and light fruit with watery finish. Meh

Clear light copper pour - moderate, lasting lace - aroma is a bit sweet and heavy for the style - some caramel and honey sweetness, light citrus zest and some peppery spice - a bit of a medicinal note - some apple and pear - light body, medium soft carbonation - much lighter than the aroma suggests, thankfully - medium dry, moderately bitter - some light toasted grain and tart citrus - somewhat peppery finish - very light mineral note - fairly crisp finish - however, the light medicinal note from the aroma turns up in the finish - not a complete train wreck, but pretty messy.

tap at Brewhaven festival - Pours clear gold with a white head that laces well. It smells of Belgian yeast and spice. The flavor is sweet malt, spices, and yeast. It’s soft on the palate with a gentle finish. Pretty good.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was toffee, bread, pepper, tangy, vague spice and a hint of sulfur. The flavor was dryish and nutty with notes of toffee, faint vague spices, bread and hints of honey and coffee. Medium length dry nut, bread and honey finish. Medium body. Eh.

pours mostly clear medium gold color with a tall white head that falls somewhat quickly but will lace nicely when given the opportunity. Soft spiced fruit aroma. The flavor has a bit of sweetness, some lemony tartness and just enough hops to provide some dryness in the finish. Easy drinking but not very complex as Belgian beers in general tend to go. Tame.

12 oz bottle from the summer variety pack. Pours clear gold with a medium dissipating white head. Aroma is clovey, faintly funky, papery, a little banana, all pretty muted. Taste is spicy, lightly sweet and finishes faintly bitter. Body is kind of thin, texture is slightly oily. This would make a great summertime quaffer.
