Brunch lines are as much an institution as brunch itself in Portland, so we made a beer dedicated to the rain-soaked hordes of brunch-goers who patiently stand in line for their weekend fare. Inspired by the mimosa cocktail, Brunch Line features sour wheat and blond ales aged in white wine barrels for up to two years with Willamette Valley-grown Chardonnay grapes, then infused with fresh orange zest.

Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver
Hazy amber colour. Robust beer, with round body, moderate acidity, citrus character, and a nice wood character with some astringency.
Good.

(Keg, 2017 vintage, at Sori Taproom, 20191122) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, tartness and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, wood, tartness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, tart and bitter. A tasty tart brew with sweet notes. Balanced.

On tap @Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Golden clear color pretty bright with medium foam leaving draft. Nose: quite oak led, white wine, sour notes and wood. Mouth is candy with amberish malty character and peppery finish. Well brewed.

Pale, with a little bit of haze. No head. Barrel and orange zest make the biggest impressions on the nose. Tart, with a bright orange note, a tart finish with light wood. Solid, good balance and complexity, though the orange zest really does stand out.

On tap at Cascade, pours a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma brings out lots of orange zest upfront, followed by white grapes, and white wine. Flavour is quite acidic, with plenty of orange zest and white grapes. Plenty of vinous notes. Not integrated the best, but it's alright.

Great barrel aging(as expected), orange, pink grapefruit, not as tart as cascade's usual, but impressive
