Back in March of 2018, we had the special pleasure of hosting our friends from Dionysus Brewing Company. Together, we concocted an idea of a mixed fermentation saison that showcased the unique character of each of our homes. After undergoing open fermentation in oak with both of our mixed cultures and a short maturation in wine barrels, the beer was blended back onto Blenheim Apricots from B&R Farms and Matsumoto Family Farm Spring Bright Nectarines. The resulting beer speaks to the harvests of the Monterey Bay Area & San Joaquin Valley with bright notes of apricot & nectarine, fruit leather, and pastoral earth, with a crisp acidity. Sample @ MBCC 2019, blue session. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are lactose acid, fruits, malt, flowers and hops. Nice sour finish.
