"San Diego-style IPA, as it has come to be known by many, is a super-hoppy, high gravity, yet highly quaffable ale. Green Flash Imperial IPA is created in this new tradition, with intense hop flavors and aromas from a unique blend of Summit and Nugget hops. It’s all about the hops!" -- Brewmaster Chuck Silva

Bomber from Vinmonopolet. Pours an unclear golden, with a full, lasting head and a nice oily body. Yes it is true, it really is all about the hops. This beer is like taking a stroll through a fresh, moist pine forest in the spring. Aromas are somewhat inconspicuous for such a massive beer, an effect of the clear resin being balanced by some fruit and honey, with hints of grapefruit. The taste hits with notes of malty caramel, and candi sugar, before the hops kick in with massive fruitiness and some hoppy acidity. This gives the whole thing a really nice balance, which again makes this a very easy drinking beer. And just when contemplating these absurdities in such a beer the hops really does it’s job in the finish, giving an everlasting bitter hoppy after taste.

Light amber and hazy with good head. Exceptionally hoppy nose - grassy, in fact silage. The taste is very bitter and herby - more silage. A little unbalanced in my opinion - the finish is too bitter for the body.

0.65l bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a almost clear body with a thin just off white lacing bubbly head. Quite fruity nose with pine nose and hints of watermelon, tobacco(?), pineapple, peach and some nice floral hints. Really smooth carbonation, medium carbonated and medium+ bodied. Semi-dry and giving lots of exploding fruity flavors in the mouth. Scary high drinkabillity for a 9.4% abv. Not to bitter or hopy, but just enough to leave a really nice, and not least, a longlasting grassy-bitter flavor that is perfectly balanced with some really lovely sweet and fruity flavors. Fantastic DIPA.

Medium offwhite head. Light amber body with light carbonation. Resiny floral pineapple aroma with strawy floral notes. Dry-sweet pineapple and mango taste with resiny citric notes. Mild mouthfeel. Fullish body. Dry caramelly resiny aftertaste with tropical fruit and pineapple notes. Very nice and highly enjoyable, but a bit much pineapple. (0.65l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)

Great floral and citrus hops with a brilliantly clear pale orange and lingering white head. Nice bitterness and hop flavor with a strong malt backbone. Medium-full mouthfeel where resins coat the mouth.

Draught at Tadgs. Huge hoppy nose pf tropical fruit, citrus, pineapple. Peppery,, stinging hop flavor with huge citrus and grass, honey and stewed fruits. long burn of black peppery hops. Very shocking and wonderful at first, though got less interesting through the pint. Still good stuff.

22oz bottle from Phil
Appearance: Slightly cloudy golden/amber with a nice big frothy head initially that dissipates to a medium size, lots of sticky lacing
Aroma: Grapefruit, floral and slightly bitter
Taste: Grapefruit, bitter pine resin in the finish that sticks with you
Very nice, fairly balanced (more hops, of course) for the amount of hops. The malts don’t overpower the hops by any means, but they are present. The bottle smells of cousin. Nicely done and enjoyable.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours hazy golden orange color with off white head. Juicy citrus aroma with some pine and grapefruit rind. Sweet grapefruit flavor with alot of pine and a big dose of bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Thanks Craig.
