Dry-Hopped Farmhouse Ale with Brettanomyces (Smokestack Series)
Saison Brett, based on our very popular Tank 7, is assertively dry-hopped, then bottle conditioned with various yeasts, including Brettanomyces, a wild strain that imparts a distinctive earthy quality. Though this farmhouse ale was given three months of bottle age prior to release, further cellaring will continue to enhance the “Brett” character, if that's what you're after.

Bottled in Texas. Poured a very huge heady white. Tons of funky brett yeast and some nice fruits and such. Pretty nice saison.

750ml corked and caged from the lcbo. Opaque orange pour, with a large white head. Loads of brett in the aroma. Very fruity, oranges and stone fruit, light yeast, soft herbs and some tropical notes. Good mouth feel, soft carb. Finish is medium bitter, subtly sweet, bretty finish, more stone fruit, soft spice and cereals.

Bottle from FlacoAlto, thanks! Pale blonde, pours an enormous foamy head. Sharp citric hops, soap and leather in the strong aroma. Firm and sharp leathery hopbitter flavor. Herbal with loads of lemon. Fairly sour. Herbal hopbitter aftertaste that lingers on and on. Lovely!
